At PPC Solutions, we’re always looking for ways to improve transparency, efficiency, and value for our clients. That’s why we’ve decided to change our reporting system: we’re moving to Looker Studio.
💡 Rationale Behind the Switch
Over the years, our existing platform has served us well—but its pricing has steadily increased, making it less sustainable for long-term use. In contrast, Looker Studio is completely free and offered directly by Google. That means:
- Greater longevity and reliability, since it’s backed by Google
- Portability: Clients can continue accessing their reports even if they’re no longer working with PPC Solutions
- No additional cost to our clients or our agency
✅ Pros of Looker Studio
Looker Studio brings several advantages that enhance the reporting experience:
- Screen-friendly layouts: Reports are easier to read and navigate across devices.
- Interactive filters: Drop-down boxes allow users to fine-tune the data they’re viewing—something Swydo didn’t offer.
- Clickable table of contents: Makes it easier to jump directly to the section you need
- More reports: On request, at no cost, we can also provide reports for Google Search Console and Google Business Profile.
- Free to use: No subscription fees or hidden costs.
These features provide an alternative way to view and interact with the same performance data.
⚠️ Cons to Keep in Mind
While Looker Studio offers many benefits, it’s not without limitations:
- No ad copy previews: Unlike the old system, Looker Studio doesn’t display ad creative within the report. However, we can provide preview links from Google Ads as an alternative.
- Less elegant period comparisons: Data tables don’t show previous period metrics as clearly or visually as the old system did.
- Not as print-friendly: Reports default to landscape orientation, which may not look as polished when printed.
We’re actively working on creative solutions to bridge these gaps and ensure our clients still get the insights they need.
We’ve aimed to make the transition as smooth as possible by maintaining the same order and layout of the prior reports wherever feasible. As with our previous system, we’ll continue refining our dashboards to ensure they extract all the necessary information from your accounts, offering faster access to performance data than navigating the Google platforms directly.
If you have any questions or feedback about the new reports, we’d love to hear from you!
